FILMING AT THE GANGWON 2024 OLYMPICS

Filming behind the scenes at the 2024 Gangwon Youth Olympics

I recently had the chance to film at the 2024 Gangwon Youth Olympics in South Korea for 18 days. Our main goal was to capture the setup and action behind the scenes of this major event.

We filmed in various environments every day which made for a great filming experience, every day felt like a different shoot. Using my Sony FX3 with a Ronin RS3 gimbal was a given considering the run and gun nature of the shoot. We needed equipment that was lightweight and agile to move quickly between locations.  Occasionally time-lapses were needed so I’d bring a small tripod. 

Working with a great team made the experience both fun and rewarding, which was especially important during many consecutive days of work. Overall, I’m pleased with how everything turned out, it was an exciting project, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. It was a perfect way to start the year off.
